Dr. Marni Chanoff’s approaches

  • Medication often provides a foundation for engaging in other therapeutic modalities. I collaborate closely with my patients and their providers to find the most effective medication regimen and dosing, while minimizing and monitoring side-effects.

  • This is a course of therapy including a series of preparatory, ketamine and integration sessions to help you access your inner healing potential through trusted relationships with our team.

  • Trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I integrate this classical approach with a person-centered approach— acknowledging that you are the expert on your own experience. I also bring in cognitive behavioral therapy and eastern philosophy, including mindfulness and meditation. Developing a trusting and collaborative relationship is key to my approach.

  • I welcome the inclusion of family members, while emphasizing the importance of a person’s autonomy. Trained in the Finnish Dialogic Practice model, I facilitate meetings between loved ones to include each person’s voice, defuse power dynamics, and move towards honest communication. In addition, I coach family members as they navigate their way through our complex mental health system and help them support their loved one in treatment.

  • Food is medicine (and should be delicious too!) and has a profound impact on mind-body health. Similarly, how we go about our days, weeks, and years affects us tremendously. I invite you to participate in a wellness assessment to explore your cooking & eating habits, daily & weekly rhythms, exercise & movement, sleep practices, and the quality of your social experiences.

  • Ayurveda is a 5000-year-old personalized medicine that modern science continuously validates. As a Kripalu Ayurvedic consultant, I integrate Ayurvedic medicine into my initial evaluation and ongoing sessions as one is interested. The wisdom in this ancient science provides many tools to manage stress, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety, and digestive disturbances.
